Jason Lieser talks Chris Rainey, Florida football
Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post joined Sports180 to discuss the Florida football team, which will be in Knoxville on Saturday to take on UT.
The news of the day involved Florida wide receiver Chris Rainey, who was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated stalking. Florida offensive coordinator Steve Addazio told the media that Rainey isn’t a part of the team “right now.”
“I think you can bet on one thing is that you’re not going to see (Rainey) in Knoxville this weekend,” Lieser said.

I am deeply disturbed by this situation. It seems that this happens very frequently among black male athletes, both college and pro. What is missing in the family structure of these athletes which promotes lack of respect for women? Where are the positive black male role models? When black male athletes give credit for success, it is usually for a mother or grandmother. Where are the fathers and where is their family leadership? How can we in society turn this around?
